PaperCrafting Mania Sketch Challenge #8

Here's my sketch and card for this week's challenge. Both the sketch and the card were made on My Digital Studio from SU. I'm getting the hang of the program and it is great! Love it, love it for creating sketches in grayscale.

FCTSC Sketch Wednesday #35

Here's my sketch and card for this week's challenge over at From C to Shining C. I made the sketch on the My Digital Software program from SU. What fun! The card is made entirely from the SU Christmas Pack that Barb at Snowmanlover's Paperie put together.

Cookie Boxes

I repurposed Cricut cartridge boxes to give some of my linzer tarts this Christmas. Here are two of them. The red cs is American Crafts Jolly pack and the green cs is K & Co. Peppermint Twist. The gingerbread men are from LilyBoo, printed on GinaK pure luxury white, colored with Copics and Sakura gelly rolls and cut out with Nestabilities Scalloped Ovals. After I cut and scored the paper for the turns of the box, I applied red tape to the very edges of the box and then adhered the paper. I also put a small white ribbon tag on the front for ease of opening. I cut a sheet of parchment paper to fit inside and fold over the cookies to protect them. 8 to 10 linzer tarts fit very nicely.

I'm back from NYC and spent all day doing laundry and poking around in everyone's blog to see what you've been up to all week. Very, very impressive. Such a talented, creative bunch. I just couldn't comment on every single post or I'd still be back on last Thursday but please know I stopped by and love what you all have done. PaperCrafting Mania Sketch Challenge #6

Here's the sketch and my card for this week's challenge. My entry is a check-giving card made entirely with SU papers, embellies, and ribbon ... thanks to Barb!

Cricut Instruction DVD by Megan at Above Rubies Studio

I received my DVD from Megan yesterday and watched it all the way through. Where was this when I got my cricut and had to scour all the message boards looking for hints on how to do things? Every new owner should have this DVD. Megan starts at the point of connecting the usb cord and takes you all the way through to keeping the machine clean and in good working order. All of the function and mode keys are explained, as well as the different types and uses of cartridges. And she does it all in a clear, concise, and fun way. If you know anyone who has questions about using their cricut, and all its bells, whistles, and buttons, this is definitely a must have.

The dp paper for this card is from Funky Fairy Let's get traditional, the large snowflake is cut from Very Merry Tags on white card using the Gypsy, the small snowflakes are cut from white card using the MS snowflake punch. The face is cut from white card and stamped with a Peachy Keen paperdoll face using memento tuxedo black ink. The snowflakes and face were overstamped with versamark and sprinkled with SU dazzling diamonds glitter.

Here's my sketch and card for this week's challenge at PCM. The image is Cute Daisy May printed on GinaK pure luxury white and colored with copics, the ribbon is Offray, the CS is from my stash and the sentiment is handwritten. The inside of the card reads, "someplace else!"

Lily-Boo Too Challenge - Paper Piecing

Here's my entry for this month's challenge. The image is, of course, Lily Boo printed on GinaK pure luxury white colored with copics and cut with nestabilities, the dp is from American Crafts Jolly pack, the trees are Stamps of Life Joy2Christmas set stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and pieced with AC Jolly embellished with Sakura Gelly Rolls.
